Spring

Downtown Alive! Greenville  It's an outdoor street party on Thursday nights featuring live musical entertainment with varied sounds including rock, blues, funk and cover bands.  Happens weekly, spring through fall.

Main Street Fridays—Greenville  Wind up the work week listening and dancing to the best in music entertainment performed by local, regional and national talent. Happens weekly, spring through fall.

Jazz on the Alley  Hosted by the City of Seneca and features live music on historic Ram Cat Alley on Thursdays, spring through fall.

Shindig at the Cabin Held at the historic Michael Gaffney cabin on Limestone Street in Gaffney, enjoy these live outdoor music events. Happens monthly spring and summer.

Music on Main  This is downtown Spartanburg's favorite after-work social gathering on Thursdays. A destination point where you can meet your friends and colleagues, hear great live music, enjoy food and beverages in an outdoor setting.

Jazz on the Square  Free, jazz concerts Friday nights on the Square in Spartanburg.

Jam in the Park  A concert series in Duncan Park, Spartanburg, featuring local acts. Free, outdoors, family & cooler friendly.

The Reedy River Jazz & Wine Festival Enjoy some of the finest regionally and nationally acclaimed musicians along with delectable foods and amazing wines in downtown Greenville.

Albino Spring Skunk Music Fest  Started as a Bluegrass Festival, it is now a unique music festival that features a great mix.  Held in a natural setting outside of Greer the first weekend of May.

Blue Ridge Fest  This event in Pickens features a classic car cruise-in with hundreds of cars on display and some of the best music around from legendary entertainers.

Plum Hollow Alternative Blue Grass Festival  New Grass, Grunge Grass, Jazz Grass, Bluegrass Rock & Roll (and other grassy pastures not yet discovered) are all a part of this Alternative Bluegrass Festival.  Always the last weekend in May in Campobello.

Music on the Mountain  Enjoy traditional Blue Grass music as local musicians gather at the historic Table Rock lodge for a jam session. Musicians are invited to bring their instrument to participate.  Happens monthly.

Summer

Music by the Lake  Relax in the lakeside amphitheater and enjoy a cross-section of Big Band, Jazz, International, Contemporary, Marches and Orchestral favorites by the Lakeside Concert Band at Furman University.  All concerts are free.  Thursday evenings, May-August.

Blue Grass Music and Square Dancing  Grab your partner and two-step to Oconee State Park's barn for a night of fun, live music and square dancing.  Happens on Friday nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Fall

Euphoria  Hosted by restaurateur Carl Sobocinski and platinum-selling singer/songwriter Edwin McCain, this event includes exclusive tasting events, cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, as well as multi-course dinners and fantastic live musical performances.

Jazz on the Square  Free, jazz concerts Friday nights on the Square in Spartanburg.

Jam in the Park  A concert series in Duncan Park, Spartanburg, featuring local acts. Free, outdoors, family & cooler friendly.

Blue Grass in the Woods Autumn Festival  Twelve live bands and 24 hour jamming at campsites during this weekend in Belton.

Hagood Mill's Annual Old Time Fiddler's Convention  This event carries on a southern tradition in our region that goes back to the early 1900’s.  It’s a day of rip-roaring, foot-stomping music by some of the region’s best old time musicians!

Moonshiners Reunion & Mountain Music Festival  Dedicated to keeping the moonshining spirit alive, this Festival is one of the Appalachian region's most authentic annual folk celebrations.  Always the first full weekend in October in Belton.

Albino Skunk Music Fest  Started as a Bluegrass Festival, it is now a unique music festival that features a great mix.  Held in a natural setting outside of Greer in early October.

Fall for Greenville  From rock to country to jazz and blues, music lovers can enjoy a wide variety of free musical entertainment offered on six stages all weekend long while sampling the cuisine of over 40 restaurants.

Believe it or not, it does get cold here.  At least we think so!  Take this opportunity to spend some time indoors at our many music venues in the area.
